Judith Kay Kentner

Judith Kay “Judy” Kentner, 80, of Wapakoneta, passed away 6:25 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2026, at Shawnee Manor, Lima. She was born October 20, 1945, in Lima, OH, the daughter of the late Carl and Pauline (Lanning) Brading. On October 21, 1967, she married Wayne F. Kentner, and he survives. Judy was very proud of her triplets, Mindy (Greg) Tabler, Matthew (Bridget) Kentner, and Molly (Matt) Craft, all of Wapakoneta. Other survivors include, 6 grandchildren, Gabriel Kentner, Easton Craft, Ben Tabler, Carly Craft, Josh Tabler, and Abigail Kentner; sister, Becky (Dick-dec) Kohlrieser, Wapakoneta; sister-in-law, Miriam (Ron-dec) Pfenning; brother-in-law, Jan (Joan) Kentner; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her sisters and spouses, Nancy (Bob) VanSkiver, Shirley Richardson, and Sally (Roger) Moellenkamp. Judy was a lifelong member of First English Lutheran Church and a proud 1963 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. In her younger years, she was actively involved in the CCL Guiding Mothers Club, where she formed many lasting friendships and enjoyed supporting fellow families in the community. Throughout her working years, Judy dedicated herself to serving others. She worked as a teller at the former Peoples Bank in Wapakoneta, where she was known for her friendly smile and kind personality. She later worked as a teacher’s aide with Wapakoneta City Schools and the Auglaize County Educational Service Center, where she took great pride in helping students learn and grow. Her patience, caring nature, and gentle encouragement made a lasting impact on many children and families. Judy was an exceptional baker who loved sharing homemade treats with family, friends, and neighbors. She also had a special love for animals and found great joy in caring for them throughout her life. One of her favorite places to spend time was the Moulton Country Store, where she enjoyed the sense of community and friendship it provided. Above all else, Judy treasured time spent with her family. She rarely missed an opportunity to attend her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, school programs, and activities, always cheering them on with pride and unconditional love. Judy will always be lovingly remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Melodi Hagen officiating. Private family burial will be in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home.
