Luetta Marie Ruppert

Luetta M. Ruppert, 98, of Wapakoneta, died 9:45 a.m., Mon. Aug. 22, 2022, at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born May 24, 1924, in Rhine, OH, the daughter of Edward B. & Hulda M. (Steinke) Greve, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 15, 1946, she married Marion A. Ruppert, and he died March 15, 1996. Survivors include, 2 sons, Michael A. (Mary) Ruppert, Wapakoneta, Mark A. (Lorraine) Ruppert, Wapakoneta, 2 daughters, Linda M. (John) Hageman, Vandalia, OH, Joyce A. (Richard) Nagel, Dublin, OH; 13 grandchildren, Adam (Kristin) Ruppert, Amy (Wes) Boyer, Amber (Dale) Schmerge, April (Eddie) Willing, Ben (Shellie) Hageman, Sarah (Jon) Weller, Megan (Neal) Huysman, Lucas (Lynne) Nagel, Julia (Brad) Graham, Jacqueline (Jeremy) Ruschau, Melissa (Brandon) Dickson, Abigail (David) Starr, Betsy (Jared) Selover; 39 great grandchildren; a sister, Iva Lou (Richard-dec) Bergman, New Bremen, OH; several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings & spouses, Nelson (Ann) Greve, and Victoria (Virgil) Rohrbaugh, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alvina (Ed) Roth, Oscar (Hilma) Ruppert, Ray (Rosie) Ruppert, Elzena (Vic) Greve, Melvin Ruppert, Eugene (Alice) Ruppert, and Shirley (Don) Pope. Luetta was a homemaker and worked for several local companies. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, and the Ladies’ Sewing Group of the church. She was also a member of the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445, Ladies Auxiliary. Luetta volunteered at numerous places including God’s Storehouse, Lima Memorial Hospital, St. Rita’s Medical Center, and the American Red Cross. She enjoyed playing cards, however her greatest joy was her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Mon. Aug. 29, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta with Fr. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in the St, Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m., Sun. and 9-10 a.m., Mon. at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.
