Michael S. "Mike" Trigilio

Michael S. “Mike” Trigilio, 73, of Lima, OH, died 3:34 p.m., Wed. June 3, 2026, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH. He was born July 10, 1952, in Detroit, MI, the son of Santo & Anna (Amara) Trigilio, who preceded him in death. On Dec 6th 2002, he married Wendy Trigilio, and she survives. Other survivors include, 2 children, Scott (Narissa) Trigilio, Wapakoneta, OH, Beth Trigilio, Monroe, Louisiana, 2 granddaughters, Kassi Saunders and Ellie Trigilio, 2 siblings, Vincent Trigilio, Sharon Trigilio, both of Shelby Twp. MI, Mike retired from General Dynamics after a dedicated 30+year career. Known as “Trigger” he earned the respect of coworkers and friends through his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he devoted himself to serving others and giving back to his community. Throughout his lifetime, he contributed thousands of hours of volunteer service, most notably with the Allen County Humane Society, where his compassion for animals and willingness to help made a lasting impact. Family was at the center of Mike's life. He took great pride in supporting and encouraging his children and granddaughters, rarely missing an opportunity to attend their sporting events and celebrate their achievements. He coached his son’s youth baseball and basketball teams including notching a championship trophy in each sport. Whether cheering from the stands or sharing in their successes afterward, he treasured the time spent with them and the memories they created together. Mike also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid card and game player who appreciated both the challenge of competition and the camaraderie that came with gathering around a table with family and friends. He loved exploring new places through travel and was always eager to discover a great restaurant, enjoying good food and the experiences that accompanied it. His generosity, sense of humor, love for family, and dedication to helping others will be remembered by all who knew him. Per Mike’s wishes services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being conducted by the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, Wapakoneta.
