Barbara Ruth Wickard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Barbara R. Wickard, 93, of Wapakoneta, died 4:00 a.m., Mon. Jan. 11, 2021, at Otterbein- Cridersville. She was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Chattanooga, TN, the daughter of Joseph & Bertha (Barham) Stephenson, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 18, 1945, she married Glenn E. Wickard, and he died Feb. 11, 2019. Survivors include, 6 children, Glennda (David) Lawrence, Alger, OH, Samuel (Dawn) Wickard, Pittsford, MI, Paul (Tonya) Wickard, Brunswick, GA, Sarah (Frank) Lawrence, Wapakoneta, OH, Mary (David) Head, Sugarcreek, OH, Elisabeth (Jeff) Motter, Cridersville, OH, 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Alice Lane, Lake City, FL, a special niece, Diana Collins, Harrod, OH. Barbara had worked at Fisher Cheese Co., and Auglaize Acres, from where she retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Findlay Bible Methodist Church. Barbara enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Fri. Jan. 15, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, with her grandson, Rev. Wesley Wickard officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Fri. at the funeral home.
