Catherine Ann Helmlinger Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Catherine Ann Helmlinger, 96, formerly of Jackson Center, OH, died 11:31 p.m., Thurs. March 17, 2022, at Otterbein-St. Marys. She was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Sidney, OH, the daughter of the late Albert & Marie (Kelley) Schnippel. On May 30, 1956, she married Russell L. Helmlinger, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2013. Survivors include, a brother, Joe & Evonne Schnippel, Botkins, OH, numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings & spouses, Mary & Vernon Steinke, John & Catherine Schnippel, James & Madella Schnippel, and brother-in-law & sisters-in-law, Richard & Alma Mae Helmlinger, Willa Holt, Velma Bureau and Esther English. Catherine owned and operated the Embroidery Specialist, Jackson Center. She had previously worked at Copeland Corp., Sidney. She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine, and the Ladies Sodality of the church. Catherine was also a member of the Jackson Center American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her cats. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Sat. March 26, 2022, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine, with Fr. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Jackson Center Rescue Squad or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
