Constance S. “Connie” Link, 88, of Wapakoneta, was called home to be with the Lord at 8:50 a.m., Mon. May 24, 2021, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, with her family at her side. She was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of the late Ned & Gusta Mae (Hoopengarner) Hoegner. On Feb. 21, 1953, she married Harold E. “Bud” Link, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1994. Survivors include, 3 children, Greg (Kathy) Link, Mishawaka, IN; Vicki (Garth) Morse, Charlotte, NC; Scott (fiancée- Aimee Hemmelgarn) Link, Sidney, OH; 7 grandchildren, Jenica Elliott, Kaitlyn (Anthony) Ragghianti, Jeanette (Zach) Dripps, Brittany (Blake Batteast) Duff, Nick (Kelly) Duff, Jacob Jaros, Jessicca Lucas 12 great grandchildren, siblings, Sharon A. Veit, & Bruce Hoegner, both of Wapakoneta, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Connie was a 1950 graduate of Blume High School where she made lifelong friends. Among other jobs, Connie retired from the Centennial Elementary School cafeteria where she worked for 23 years. She volunteered with Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, and the Auglaize Co. Board of Elections. Connie was an active member of First English Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta, where she sang in the choir, as well as, serving on many church committees throughout the years. She was an avid reader, a former member of the Wapakoneta Country Club, and a member of card club. Connie took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thurs. May 27, 2021, at First English Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta, with Vicar Deb Monnin officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service, Thurs. at the church. Burial of Connie’s cremated remains will be in the Buckland Cemetery.
