Jeanneane L. Miller, 78, of Wapakoneta, died 8:56 a.m., Sun. July 31, 2022, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Lima, OH, the daughter of the late Ralph and Evelyn (Bible) Hixson. On Sept. 19, 1964, she married Ronald H. Miller, and he survives. Other survivors include, 3 children, David (Lisa) Miller, Maumee, OH, Elizabeth (Brian) Pfenning, Piqua, OH, Steven (Dawn) Miller, Wapakoneta; 8 grandchildren, Nicholas, Cassie, Lauren, Cole, Reed, Helen, Anthony, and Cameron; a brother, Sam (Jeanette) Hixson, Spencerville, a brother-in-law, Hugh Seibert, Spencerville, 2 sisters-in-law, Jan (James-dec) Leis, Spencerville, Amy (Gary-dec) Hale, Greenville, TX. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Hixson, and a sister, Nancy Seibert. Jeanneane was a member of Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church and a 1961 graduate of Spencerville High School. While in high school, she was a football and basketball cheerleader, president of the Home Economics Club, on the cast of the Senior Class play, and played on the GAA basketball team. In her younger years, she worked at St. Rita’s Hospital and Don Johnson Florist and Gifts, and Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was a member of several card clubs where she enjoyed playing bridge, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta. A Celebration of Jeanneane’s life will be held Sat. Aug. 6, 2002, at Ron & Jeanneane’s home. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m., Sat.
