Jesse J. Orick Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jesse James Orick, 74, of Lima, died 9:48 p.m., Thurs. March 17, 2022, at Kindred Hospital, Lima. He was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Bell Co., KY, the son of Ishmel “Red” & Delsie Mae (Lamdin) Orick, who preceded him in death. On June 13, 2006, he married Kimberly A. Berquist McBeth, and she survives. Other survivors include, 2 children, Joshua James Orick, TX, Eleanor (Nick) Cormendy, MI, 2 step-children, Brian (Loretta) McBeth, Lima, Lindsay (Joshua) Hooks, Lima, 6 grandchildren, a sister, Jan Orick, Grove City, OH. He was preceded in death by a son, Zach Orick, and a brother, Luther Orick. Jesse retired as a tool and die maker in 2007 from Ford Motor Co. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Viet Nam War, and Persian Gulf. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #370, Lima, and the Fraternal Order of the Orioles, Lima Nest #173, the NRA, the Midwest Shooting Center, and the Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Wed. March 23, 2022, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Wed. at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445, following the funeral service.
