Marie S. King. 98, of rural Botkins, died 11:30 p.m., Mon. Jan. 28, 2019, at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born July 15, 1920, in Rhine, OH, the daughter of Joseph & Rosa (Reineke) Schweitzer, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 4, 1941, she married Clarence J. King, and he died Oct. 22, 1997. Survivors include, 3 sons, David (Mary) King, Daniel (Pamela) King, & Donald (Beth) King, all of Botkins, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Madeline Schlenker, FL. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Drew King; her brothers, Ray, Marion, Adrian, and Joseph Schweitzer; and her sister, Leona Burden. A homemaker, Marie was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins. She enjoyed gardening and caring for flowers around her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Sat. Feb. 2, 2019, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine, with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive family and friends 4-8 p.m., Fri. Feb. 1, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
