Michelle Ann Ewald, 44, of St. Marys, OH, died 7:06 p.m., Thurs. March 17, 2022, at Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, St. Marys, OH. She was born Dec. 31, 1977, in Lima, the daughter of Joseph C. & Kathy M. (Byrne) Schulte. Her parents survive in Cridersville. On March 12, 2021, she married Kristopher J. Ewald, and he survives. Other survivors include, siblings, Kristine & Kijana Monroe and their sons, Isaiah & Kyler, Columbus, OH, Amanda & Joey Langan, and their children, Patrick & Johanna, Humble, TX, Joey & Kiley Orchard- Schulte, Columbus, OH; paternal grandmother, Mary Schulte, Wapakoneta; step mother-in-law, Kristine Ewald, Wapakoneta; brothers-in-law, Todd (Marian) Ewald, Patrick (Melanie) Ewald, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ralph Schulte, maternal grandparents, Richard & Marilyn Byrne, father-in-law and mother-in-law, James & Pamela Ewald. Michelle worked for 2 decades in early childhood education with Tomorrow’s Child Learning Center, Hilliard, OH, and Assumption Catholic School, Bellingham, WA. She was a 1996 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. In 2000, she received a Bachelors of Science degree from Ohio University, and in 2006 she received a Masters degree from Ohio University in early childhood development. Michelle was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the American Legion Post #330, Auxiliary, both of Wapakoneta. She was the only girl in their fantasy football league, and enjoyed watching football, especially the OSU Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Her other hobbies included traveling, dining out, and boating on her beloved Bellingham Bay, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Fri. March 25, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Fr. Sean Wilson officiating.
