Richard M. "Dick" McCormick Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard D. “Dick” McCormick, 86, of Wapakoneta, died 12:59 a.m., Sat. Dec. 18, 2021, at Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Buckland, OH, the son of the late Norman & Olga (Nuesmeyer) McCormick. On July 27, 1957, he married Jackie Frost, and she survives. Other survivors include, a son, John (Nancy) McCormick, Naples, FL; 2 grandchildren, Shana (Josiah) Stober, Elida, Austin (Morgan) McCormick, Harrison, OH; 2 great grandchildren, Siena Stober, Maverick McCormick; a sister, Carmen (Larry) Dardio, Wapakoneta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Rick McCormick, and 2 sisters, Arlene Roser, and Marilyn Blackburn. Dick was president and owner of Frost & Co., Wapakoneta. He was a 1953 graduate of Blume High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dick was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, and served on the Board of Directors at Bank One. His other memberships included the Wapakoneta Rotary Club, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445, and the former Wapakoneta Elks. He was a former member of the Wapakoneta Country Club and the Shawnee Country Club. He enjoyed watching and attending his grandchildren’s activities, playing golf, woodworking, and building and repairing various projects.
