Rose A. Braun Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rose A. Braun, 92, of Fryburg, passed away 7:57 p.m., Fri. Feb. 16, 2018, at her home with her family at her side. She was born Sept. 5, 1925, in St. Marys, OH, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Greve) Yahl, who preceded her in death. On June 15, 1948, she married Roger F. Braun, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2002. Survivors include, 4 children, Marty (Dennis) Fleming, Lima; Nancy (Kenny) Fisher, Kathy (Jim) Schaub, & Denny (Vickie) Braun, all of Wapakoneta, 9 grandchildren, Michelle (Blaine) Gearing, Michael L. Borges, Scott (Sarah) Fisher, Ben (Tracy) Fisher, Chad (Amy) Fisher, Kerri (Nick) Schneider, Bridget (Rob) Hinkle, Hans Schaub, & Rachel (Andy) Schuler, 2 step-grandchildren, Dia (Jeremy) Rex, & Colby Fleming, 15 great grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren, 4 step-great great grandchildren, siblings, Sister Rita Yahl, Dayton; Clara Lenhart, Wapakoneta; Bob Yahl, St. Marys; Joe (Connie) Yahl, St. Marys; & Gene (Janice) Yahl, St. Marys; sisters-in-law, Mary Yahl, Botkins; & Judy Yahl, St. Marys: brother-in-law, Jim Clements, St. Marys several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law of the Braun family living and deceased, numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Braun, and her siblings, Irene Doseck, Jerome Yahl, Mary Brown, Bill Yahl, Tony Yahl, and Em Clements. A homemaker and farm wife, Rose worked as a secretary at the Farm Bureau and Landmark. She was a 1943 graduate of the St. Marys Memorial High School. Rose was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, and a member of the Ladies Sodality at the church. Her other memberships included the Farm Bureau and the Grand Lake Tractor Pullers. She enjoyed baking and will always be remembered for her cookies and cinnamon rolls. Her other hobbies included playing cards, fishing, camping, and quilting. Above all, she possessed a deep love for her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wed. Feb. 21, 2018, at the St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fryburg. The family will receive friends 2-8 p.m., Tues. at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. John Catholic Church Improvement Fund, St. Rita’s Hospice, or St. Johns Fire & Rescue Squad
