Shirley M. Baker, 85, of Wapakoneta, died 11:40 p.m., Mon. Sept. 27, 2021, at Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born Oct. 8, 1935, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of the late George & Viola (Brown) Baker. Survivors include, a sister-in-law, Carole Baker, Wapakoneta, 2 nieces, Linda Steinke & Peggy (Scot) Gilbert, a nephew, Dan Baker, numerous great nieces & great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Baker, and a niece, Debbie Baker. A homemaker, Shirley worked from her home with Goodwill Industries and also sold Christmas cards and gift wrap. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta. She also attended the Only Believe Ministries, Botkins. Shirley enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and made Barbie doll clothes. She was a graduate of Blume High School. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Fri. Oct. 1, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Josh Tissot officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville. The family will receive family and friends from 11 a.m. until time of the service, Fri. at the funeral home.
