Charles H. Andrews

Charles H. “Chuck” Andrews, 75, of Wapakoneta, died 11:45 p.m., Sun. July 2, 2017, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born Dec. 10, 1941, in Forest, OH, the son of Harold Charles & Ruth Ann (Campbell) Andrews. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother & step-father, Earl Fisher. On Dec. 28, 1963, he married Carol S. Richardson, and she survives. Other survivors include, 5 children, Dr. Belinda (Bart) Andrews-Smith, Gahanna, OH, Michelle (Douglas) Roediger, Wapakoneta, Peggy (Tony) Miller, Wapakoneta, Kristine (Dennis) Gaertner, Wapakoneta, & Scot (Stephanie) Andrews, Delaware, OH, 12 grandchildren, Jarod & Colin Smith; Morgan, Joel, & Matthew Roediger; Kaleb, Josie, Kalie Miller; Owen & Ellie Settlage; and Marley & Charles “Chaz” Andrews, siblings, Larry Andrews, Burton (Lyndella) Andrews, Kim Fisher; Linda (Robert) Crow, Hans (Carolyn) Andrews, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Carla Fisher, Connie Fisher, Carl Kobernick, Juanita (Morris) Leffel, Don (Wanda) Richardson, John (Carolyn) Richardson, Richard Sulc, uncle, Dave (Carolyn) Campbell, aunt Shirley (John) Campbell numerous nieces & nephews, He was preceded in death by his siblings, Myron “Mo” Fisher, Ferd Fisher, and Joanie Kobernick, and a sister-in-law, Cella Sulc. Chuck worked 35 years as a salesman & sales supervisor with Cain’s Potato Chip Co., Bowling Green, OH. He later retired from C & G. Distributors, Lima. A 1959 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, he served with the U.S. Army 21st Infantry stationed in Berlin, Germany. His memberships included the First United Methodist Church, The Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, and the American Legion, Post #330, all of Wapakoneta. Chuck enjoyed golfing, tinkering and spending time with his grandchildren. He was avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Reds. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday July 10, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, with Pastors Josh Tissot and Dennis Gaertner officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m., Sunday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta, and 1 hr. prior to the service, Monday at the church. Burial is to follow in the Buckland Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Methodist Church or the American Heart Assn.
