James A. "Jimmy" Arthur

James A. “Jimmy” Arthur, II, 40, of Wapakoneta, died Saturday afternoon, November 9, 2024, at the scene of a single car accident near Fryburg, Ohio. He was born February. 28, 1984, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of James A. and Debra Sue (Moseley) Arthur. Jimmy began dating the love of his life, Linsey M. McDonald, on February 14, 2011. They were married on December 31, 2015, and she survives. Jimmy graduated Salutatorian of his class in 2002, from Waynesfield Goshen High School. He began working at Plastipak Packaging, Jackson Center, Ohio, where he dedicated 19 years of hard work and reliability. Jimmy was a member of the Oaks Golf Club, and anytime the weather permitted, he could be found out on the green, enjoying his love for golf and the company of friends he made at the golf course. When he wasn’t teeing up for a hole in one, Jimmy could be found at his home away from home, Lulu’s 113, where he enjoyed countless hours of pool, with his favorite games being played with his Dad, Jeff. Jimmy also loved attending rock concerts with Linsey, taking their beloved dogs, Floki and Jax to the dog park, and spoiling their cats Roady, Simba, Roo Roo, and Binks, with endless treats and cuddles. By far, Jimmy’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his “A Team” and always ensuring the best for Linsey and the kids. He loved being a dad and being one the kids’ biggest supporters through all their endeavors. Anyone that knew Jimmy, knew he had the biggest heart, and would do anything he could to help. He and Linsey moved Grandpa Carl into their home, becoming his caregivers for two years, and providing him with love, patience, and laughs through it all. Other survivors include, 3 children, Bradyn, Brianah, and bonus son, Gavin; Jimmy’s chosen adopted parents, Jeff and Judy Schneider; sisters, Angela (Justin Rogers) Beers, Jennifer (Brian) Shaw, Amanda (Derrick) Sutherland, and Dani (Dalton) Mault; half brother, Zachary (Sydnee Greenberg) Wade; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James & M. Jane McDonald; sister-in-law, Lesley (Cody Cromes) McDonald; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Arthur, brother, Anthony Schneider, a nephew, Derrick Beers, and “Grandpa Carl” McCune. The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Funeral services will be private.
